Before actions can be added, they must first be enabled by a Sisra Admin in your school/organisation in Admin > Settings > Preferences, covered in our article - Enabling Actions (and other preferences). |
Once enabled, Actions can be added to published records or created separately by going to 'Actions' and clicking the ‘Add Action’ button.
Alternatively, to add an action to a published record, click Records, filter by the relevant template type and click on the name of the record.
Click ‘View’ to see the completed record’s details, including each Focus Area that has been reviewed.
Below the Focus Area you would like to create an action against, click ‘Add +’ and choose ‘Add Action’.
You will then be prompted to fill in the following details about the Action:
-
Action Title – Enter a clear name which outlines the action to be carried out (e.g. Arrange Peer Observation, Upload Course Certificate, Arrange Whiteboard Training etc.)
-
Deadline Date - Enter or select a date for when you expect this to be completed. This allows you to track actions which are overdue.
-
Action Description – This is optional; however, you could use this space to provide further information or instructions on the action being added (e.g. a member of staff to be observed).
-
Privacy – If adding an action to a record, you have the additional option to set the Privacy status. Private means that only assigned users (mentioned above), the creator and Sisra Admins will be able to view the action. Whereas, Standard means that any members of staff that have permission to view that record, can also view the action.
- Assigned Users – Add up to 5 members of staff who will be responsible for completing or monitoring the action and therefore should have permission to view or edit the action (alongside the creator).
Then, click Save. All assigned users will then be sent an email to make them aware that an action has been added (if email alerts are enabled by your Sisra Admin), and they will be able to view and manage the action by going to the Actions area.
