What is a Resource?
Resources can be uploaded and attached to a record as supporting evidence, and also examples of best practice. You can upload resources as files (e.g. documents, spreadsheets, photos) or as a URL link. You can then set the required privacy option, which will be explained in more detail later on in this guide.
What is a Reflection?
Reflections are used to add additional comments to records. For example, if a record has been published and a comment has been left in a focus area that is perhaps unclear, the Observee could add a reflection to ask for more information. Another example could be, an Observer or Observee could add a reflection to a relevant record to indicate that CPD has been arranged or completed following an area for development being identified.
Adding a Resource or Reflection to a Record
To add a resource or reflection to a record, go to Records > click on the Records tab and click on the appropriate record name.
Once a specific record has been selected, click View.
If a focus area has evidence enabled, click ‘Add’ on the right-hand side of this, then ‘Add Reflection’ or ‘Add Resource’, depending on which type of information you wish to add.
When adding a resource, you can select the resource type you want to add from the buttons on the right (A5). Selecting the resource type ‘File’ will allow you to upload a document or photo with a maximum file size of 50MB, out of a total 30GB for your school/organisation.
Then, enter a name, enter the URL or select the file to upload and enter a comment if necessary.
Next, select the privacy for the resource. Standard will only allow users with access to the record to view this, whereas Whole School/Organisation will allow all users to view this.
When you have finished, click ‘Confirm’ to save the changes. For more information on adding actions, see our guide linked below:
It is possible for users to receive email alerts for whenever a resource or reflection is added to a record. For example, if an Observee adds a reflection or resource to a record, the Observer can receive an email informing them of this. We would recommend contacting your Sisra Administrator to check if email alerts are set up. |
