The option to set up year groups and student focus groups is available within Sisra Observe. Once these are set up, they can then be added to a record and this will then enable you to filter your records and reports by a certain group of students.
This article explains how to set up Focus Groups. For information on setting up Year Groups, please see the following article: Student Groups - Year Groups/Course Levels.
Setting up Focus Groups
You can create up to 20 focus groups which can also be added to your records. Some examples of focus groups could be ‘Males', 'Females' etc.
To set up focus groups, go to Admin > Settings > Student Groups > Focus Group List tab.
You can name your focus groups in the list by clicking the blue pencil icon next to each group. For each focus group you wish to use in your records, you would then need to activate them by clicking the green play icon under the ‘Actions’ column. To remove a focus group so that this is not available when creating future records, deactivate this by clicking the red pause icon.
As with year groups, you can amend the order in which your focus groups appear when filtering by these in the records and reports. To do this, click ‘Reorder Focus Group’.
The Focus Groups that are active will then be available as a filter in the Records and Reports areas, allowing you to narrow the results down to a specific focus group. For further information, please see the following article: Filtering by Student Groups.
