When analysing your reports, there are charts available to provide you with a visual representation of your data.
A short video demonstrating the steps outlined below can also be downloaded from the bottom of this article. |
Summary Report Charts
Navigate to Reports > then select the Record Type you want to view (e.g. Quality Assurance). This will open the Summary report area, and on the left hand side you will see a Charts option underneath Display Options.
Click On, and this will now show a bar chart underneath each outcome set, which shows the number of individual outcomes selected for each focus area within that set. You can click on an outcome in the chart key to remove it from the chart. The chart will be produced using counts or percentages, depending on what you have selected in your Display Options.
You can also click on any of the outcome bars to navigate to the Details report area for that outcome and focus area.
Outcome Set Report Charts
You can also view count and percentage charts for each of your outcome sets, by clicking on the outcome set name. So in the example below, we would click on 1-4 Book Look.
You can then see these charts for counts and percentages, and as with the other charts, you can click on an outcome to drill down to the details report for it. You can also download these charts by clicking the three lines icon at the top right of the charts.
Focus Area Report Charts
As with the outcome set report charts, you can also access these for individual focus areas too. For example, in the screenshot below, we could click on 1. Quantity of Work.
We can then see the count and percentage charts related to just the selected focus area:
Trends Charts
You can also view charts within the Trends reports. Navigate to Reports > select the Template Type you wish to analyse > then underneath Trends, click Monthly, Report Window, or School Year depending on the report you want to view, then finally click on the Focus Area you want to view. For example, we could click on 1. Quantity of Work.
The format of the chart that is displayed depends on the 'value' display option you have selected. For example, below we can see a bar chart when selecting the 'Count' value. You can hover your cursor over the chart to see a breakdown of the outcomes for that particular point.
However if you change the count to percentage or average, the chart will be displayed as a scattergraph, where you can hover your cursor over each point to see the exact percentage figure for that outcome.
