Once a record has been completed and a record date has been entered, this will be available to publish to include this in the reports for analysis. To do this, click Records then, within the Records tab, locate and click on the name of the record to be published (you can also quickly access your own records from the Home page dashboard!).
Then, click ‘Publish’.
Q: Why is my Publish button greyed out? A: If the Publish button is greyed out, it may be that a record date has not been entered for the record. To enter/amend this, click ‘Edit Details’. |
The status will then change to Published. If you need to make changes to the record, click ‘Unpublish’ to remove it from the reports, and then click ‘Modify’.
Observe also has the ability to send email alerts for a variety of different functions across the service. Some examples of an email alert could be:
- To let an observee know when a record has been published and is available to view.
- To let a user know an action has been created for them.
- To let anyone associated with a record know that a reflection has been added.
This can be set up in Admin > Users > Email Alerts. However, for more information on how to switch them on, you can check out our article here - Enabling Email Alerts (Admin).
